Melanie Wu is a Shanghai-born creative based in New York City, currently studying Strategic Design and Management at Parsons School of Design. She brings a global perspective and multidisciplinary edge to the worlds of fashion, media, and music. Melanie is the Associate Creative Director at Forgot to Mute, where she leads campaign direction, styling, and digital storytelling. She currently interns in Marketing and PR at Modeworld, and has previously worked at Christian Dior, Grazia, and Switching Time, where she developed a strong foundation in luxury brand communications, media relations, and fast-paced digital marketing.
Alongside her work in fashion, Melanie is also an emerging DJ and music producer, blending techno and electro-pop influences in both live sets and studio production. Her practice is rooted in narrative, emotion, and subculture—building connections that go deeper than aesthetics.
